NWICPC jointly with International Dangerous Goods and Containers Association, with the support of Committee of State Duma on Ecology, UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), International Maritime Organization (IMO), hold the VII International conference "Multimodal Transportation of Dangerous Goods". One of the major issues of the agenda is the topic of chemical risks reduction during the transport and handling of dangerous goods in the context of international Chemical Leasing project and the European REACH Directive (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals).

Main topics of the conference:

• Overwiev of work of the Sub-Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (Olivier Kervella, Chief, Dangerous Goods and Special Cargoes Section, UNECE);

• Overwiev of work of the Sub-Committee on Dangerous Goods, Solid Cargoes and Containers (Irfan Rahim, Head, Cargoes and Facilitation Section, IMO);

• International conventions on the transport of dangerous goods;

• Legislative maintenance of the transport of dangerous goods in Russian Federation. Elaboration of the technical reglament;

• Maintenance of enviromental safety at the transportation of dangerous goods. Reducing of chemical risks during the transport and handling of dangerous goods. The International project "Chemical Leasing in Russia" in the context of European program "REACH";

• Harmonization of national regulations of the transportation of dangerous goods by water, rail and road transport with the international ones;

• Division of powers between Federal authorities, Rostekhnadzor, Federal Transport Oversight Authority, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Internal Affairs and other bodies in the field of the transport of dangerous goods in view of the administrative reform;

• Licensable kinds of activity at the transport, handling and storage of dangerous goods;

• Training and certification of safety advisers for the transport of dangerous goods as mandatory requirement for the activity of companies in accordance with the European Directive, ADR, IMDG Code and licencing of specified kinds of activity;

• Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Marking of Chemicals;

• Transport of dangerous goods in freight containers, including tank containers;

• International initiatives in the field of security of the transport of dangerous goods and containers.
  

Among key-speakers there are heads of diverse departments of international organisations, State Duma and Russian Federation Counsil, Ministries, Offices and Federal Authority Bodies.

Participation conditions

Participation fee for the conference and all events taking place in its frames amounts to 520 EUR per person. All payments should be effected not later then 26.09.2006.

The fee includes:
Participation at all events, simultaneous translation, hand out material, cultural program, publication of the information of the company on the web-site of NWICPC and on the web-site of the International Dangerous Goods and Containers Association.

Travelling costs and accommodation costs are not included in the above mentioned fee.

Discount

Participants which effect the payment before 01 September 2006 obtain a 10% discount.
